Wind energy
Among the renewable energy sources, wind energy is the most efficient method of generating energy. It not only provides the most electricity, but also requires the least amount of land. The technical development of wind energy is very impressive. In large part due to substantial public funding for research and development, the capacity of wind turbines has increased by more than a factor of 160 since 1980. Since there will always be wind and this source of energy will therefore never dry up, and the operation of a wind turbine does not emit any emissions of the climate-damaging gas carbon dioxide, wind power is one of the most important renewable energy sources.
In addition, wind power leads to long-term energy policy independence, because at present many countries are dependent on other raw material-supplying countries in order to be able to guarantee the energy supply in their own country.
Wind turbines also bring jobs, as they are planned, manufactured, maintained and further developed.
CLEANTECH GERMANY is currently working on the design and development of a new type of wind power generation technology. We will of course keep you informed about the progress here.
